Location

Follow the A591 (A590) onto Kendal Bypass.
About 5 miles from the motorway take the slip road off directed to the A590 (Barrow, Grange-over-Sands, Etc.)
Enter the (Brettargh Holt) Roundabout and take the first exit onto the A590 signed to Barrow, Grange, etc.
Pass the PV Dobson Car Dealership on the right and continue off the dual carriageway onto the single carriageway,
Pass the Mill Side & Beck Head road junction (on the right)
Just before entering the next dual carriageway (opposite a yellow speed camera) turn left through a farm type gate and onto the gravelled track/driveway (Stoney Lane) which leads to Moorcock Hall. If you reach the turning for Witherslack you have gone too far!
Please Note: if you are using SatNav it will probably take you to the junction of Stoney Lane on the "old" A590 and you will need to cross over the new (A590) road to enter Stoney Lane ....

DIRECTIONS: From the West – Barrow A590

Follow the A590 towards Kendal. Travel along the new High & Low Newton bypass and down Lindale Hill to the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A590 signed 'A590 (Kendal)'
Travel approx 1 mile, pass the left hand turning for Witherslack and continue onto the single carriageway,
Almost exactly opposite the yellow speed camera (on the left – 60mph max!) turn right - through a metal farm type gate and onto the gravelled track/driveway (Stoney Lane) which leads to Moorcock Hall. If you reach the Mill Side & Beck Head road junction on the A590 you have gone too far.
Please Note: if you are using SatNav it will probably take you to the junction of Stoney Lane on the "old" A590 and you will need to cross over the new (A590) road to enter Stoney Lane ....
