Meg: A superb working bitch (her picture can be seen in the 2004 [Autumn] edition of the Barbour Catalogue where she 'posed' superbly!) who gave so much and was so very "trainable" .... a natural hunter and retriever, she excelled in all aspects of gundog work - unfortunately Meg died in May 2004 and is sadly missed - but she has left me a legacy of excellent memories and descendents ... the latest (via her Gt. Lace is a B&W relaxed but strong bitch, who's background is predominantly Badgercourt breeding. She has spent the last few seasons working on various shoots in the Lake District ... beating, picking up and also as an excellent all-rounder as well as (unusually for an ESS) a peg-dog.

Born 18th June 2006: Sired by FTW Twynell Tom by FTCh Rydanlue Breeze. In her Pedigree 28 out of the first 30 dogs listed over four generations are either FTCh or have qualified at Field Trials for inclusion in the Kennel Club Stud Book.
Tilly trained exceptionally well and would have been working in the coming season, but after a short sudden illness she died on 20th August 2009. She had an excellent nose, was very, very quick combined with a superb temperament & extremely biddable - a natural hunter / retriever.
Tilly will be sorely missed by all who knew her

Niks, born 2001 he is a Liver & White English Springer Spaniel and a proven sire; a well built, strong & powerful dog, with an excellent temperament - he is really at his best when faced with tough cover to hunt, he has excellent drive and this combined with natural game finding ability, with a superb nose he is an excellent dog to work ... to shoot over, picking up or in the beating line. Niks is a natural retriever and has a soft mouth, he is 100% sound and is very level headed.... level headed enough to be used for the BETA advertising brochures - sample shown below
Bred by Ian Christie and thanks to training/handling by Chris Wadsworth he has had a great deal of success in Field Trial competition, including winning a Novice Spaniel Trial (Gamekeepers National Assoc Novice Stake, July 2003) and an Open Field Trial (The Lothian and Borders Gundog Association Open Stake, November 2005) and subsequently he qualified for the Spaniel Championships in 2006.

L&W English Springer Spaniel: Finn
Sired by Niks (Squareclose Monty) Finn is an excellent ESS with a natural working talent and superb temperament.
Finn showed so much natural ability as a puppy that he was retrieving game at 12 weeks old - the remainder of his training followed at a rapid, natural pace making him a good all round working dog.
He is a proven stud and it is expected that he will be mated with two other Verstone Bitches soon
